Summer-end summary

Summer always seems to fly by and this year’s been no exception. Grateful Terra and I got to visit Gunnison and Crested Butte on the Western Slope of Colorado last month, thanks to the hospitality of some friends. Loved my first time experiencing Crested Butte. Sooo beautiful. Did a little fly fishing on the nearby East and Gunnison rivers, too. 🙂

My Mom’s Lewy body dementia continues to advance, gradually. She’s now under hospice care, but thankfully she is able to remain at her memory care unit in Lakewood, which is a 45- to 60-minute drive from me.

My oldest, Maegan, is in Uganda right now with a non-profit called Crazy Love Africa. What an amazing thing to see her raise funds, plan ahead and experience her first-ever solo international trip! She’ll be home from Uganda for one day before leaving for her first semester at school in Springfield, Mo.

Ryan, Addie and Tony, are enjoying their last few weeks of relative summer freedom, and prepping for school to start later this month — Addie and Ryan at the local community college and Tony, TBD…Transitions, transitions, transitions.
