Summer is winding down, the school year is winding up and here are a few videos I watched and several books I’ve picked up lately:
- Exiles: Living Missionally in a Post-Christian Cultureby Michael Frost — What would it look like for followers of Jesus to embrace a dynamic, life-affirming faith that can be lived with confidence in today’s world? Frost asks and attempts to answer just that question.
- Missional Church: A Vision for the Sending of the Church in North America edited by Darrell L. Guder — The fact that North America is itself a “mission field” is old news. But the message of this book project is still fresh.
- The Unnecessary Pastor: Rediscovering the Call by Marva Dawn and Eugene Peterson — Provocative title, helpful content.
- Quantum Theory & Quantum Physics — If you’re looking for some “light” viewing, check out these YouTube documentaries — on the duality of light, time travel, dark matter, WIMPS and string theory. Yikes. As comedian Brian Regan says, “Uh huh, I see where you’re going with that.”
