Check out the trailer for “Scrapping By In America”, a documentary just entering post-production. Notice the title is “Scrapping” not “Scraping” — love it!
“Scrapping By” is produced and directed by my friend, local filmmaker Peter Lively, and it follows the life of Joseph Kniss, a 58-year-old homeless, metal scrapper in Denver, Colo.
Peter and his co-filmmaker Mark O’Brien are asking donors to fund post-production, their last step in the filmmaking process, to share Joe’s story. Their hope is to inspire audiences to think about life from the unique perspective of people living on the margins of society, and to open eyes to the challenges faced by people who are homeless.
