It was my privilege last week to participate in an Episcopal Diocese of Colorado pre-convention workshop entitled “Dismantling Our Past to Live Our Future Differently: Respecting Our Indigenous Neighbors.” Along with some friends and fellow clergy, I gave a short presentation on the annual Memorial Day weekend pilgrimages I lead to the Sand Creek Massacre National Historic Site and highlighted my work toward forming a Sister Cities partnership between Broomfield and the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes in Oklahoma.
I highly recommend looking into the work of my fellow presenters, which includes but is not limited to the Adult Children of Manifest Destiny program and the Coalition to Dismantle the Doctrine of Discovery!
