Upcoming Signing Ceremony

Greetings from Broomfield — you are cordially invited to attend the Sister Cities Recognition and Signing ceremony between the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes and Broomfield, Colorado! It will be from 4-5 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, in the Silverton Ballroom of the Embassy Suites Downtown Denver, 1420 Stout St., Denver, CO 80202. Attendance is free.

This event has been five years in the making, so please consider joining Broomfield residents, area advocates and elected officials for this seminal event in the history of our two communities. RSVP online and share this email and the attached digital invitation with your family, friends, coworkers and neighbors.

Also, our Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes partners have invited any of us Broomfield and area residents who are interested to join them after the signing ceremony at the 49th Annual Denver March Powwow held at the Denver Coliseum, 4600 N. Humboldt St., Denver, CO 80216. The Powwow features dancers, singers, storytellers, food and art from many Native nations. See here for Denver March Powwow parking and admission details.

The Broomfield Sister Cities – Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribe affiliate is a Broomfield-centered, citizen-led effort that re-examines local, state and U.S. history and seeks to build meaningful connections between Native and non-Native people, in our area and beyond. Our current partners include the City & County of Broomfield and the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes, headquartered in Concho, Okla. We are one of three recognized affiliates — along with Ueda, Japan, and Lalitpur, Nepal — within the non-profit Broomfield Sister Cities Organization.
