The well-known non-profit Habitat for Humanity does more than build new homes for people in economic need. Habitat also repairs homes for qualified families. Flatirons Habitat for Humanity is currently searching for families in Broomfield and Lafayette, Colo., to enter its Community Preservation and Restoration (CPR) program. According to its brochure: “Our CPR program is designed to repair existing homes to improve safety, health and accessibility. We’ll repair roofing, heating, plumbing, electrical, and repair or upgrade existing structures.”

The CPR application lists eligibility requirements for entering the program. For more information, contact Family Selection Coordinator Jackie Wood. If you live outside of Colorado, check with your local Habitat chapter to learn if it has a program similar to CPR.
