Shadows & Dust, Vol. IV, Issue 9

Is it really be August already? Just finished my first “intensive” session as part of the 15-month Spiritual Direction Formation program through Denver’s Center for Spirituality at Work (CFSAW). Loved it! I definitely have a lot to think about and practice over the next year.

In the meantime, here are a few resources I’ve been looking at lately:

  • The Liturgical Year: The Spiraling Adventure of the Spiritual Life by Joan Chittister — For many centuries, Christians from different faith “streams” have immersed themselves in the story of Jesus through the church calendar. Part of the Ancient Practices Series from Thomas Nelson.
  • Eternal Echoes: Exploring Our Yearning to Belong by John O’Donohue — If you’ve felt the restlessness of our postmodern world, take some time out for this exploration of Celtic imagination.
